We were in the office...

Steve Mazan, Lee Levine and Gary Cannon met in the mid 90's at a dingy bar waiting to perform in front of a group of six drunken customers. The three soon became best friends. As they continued to stay out late waiting to perform at other dingy bars, they repeatedly spoke of how lifeless the corporate functions were at their day jobs.

Gary was in sales for a major copier company, and spoke of flying around the country to attend meetings that lost most people's attention by late morning. Steve and Lee agreed that many of their events could have used some entertainment to boost enthusiasm and re-energize the employees.

Once their comedy careers took off, they began performing full time. Despite leaving the corporate world they were frequently hired by companies both big and small to perform at a variety of events. This experience gave them a chance to see what kind of entertainment works, and does not work, at corporate functions.

3 is better than one!

What they all realized was that comedy clubs had the right formula: Three acts provide a complete show. Booking three acts allows for a host to emcee the entertainment and get everyone onboard. Once everyone is in the groove there are two more comics, each with their own brand of humor, to bring the laughs to a new level. Comedy clubs know that three acts ensure there will be something for everyone. It was also obvious this would increase the amount of tailoring of material and variety for each event. Three writers and performers working to make your event a success is ALWAYS better than one!

Best of all, it became obvious that if they took out the “middleman” of talent agencies, they could offer companies all of this for the price of one performer. By dealing directly with Corporate Comics, companies were getting a better show AND a better value. Successful corporate events and rave reviews came pouring in.

As Corporate Comics grew so did their individual comedy careers. All three headed to Los Angeles and saw their careers kick into high gear. Together they have over 20 years experience performing including: numerous TV appearances, major comedy clubs and college shows, USO tours performing for our troops in Iraq & Afghanistan and around the world, and of course hundreds of successful corporate shows of every size.

Corporate Comics was founded with the belief that three comics are better than one, and that by taking the agency out of the equation not only did value go up, but the stress, and hassle of booking entertainment went down. Rather than getting one comic that an agency told you was available---you are getting three great comedians who have worked with you to customize the best show possible.
